Providing organisations with transformation solutions in Cloud, Managed Services, Digital Workspace and Infrastructure
Why Verde was hired.
PFH Technology Group, a RICOH company, aimed to become more sustainable, focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, and reducing energy costs. They needed Verde's expertise to improve operational efficiency and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability in a tangible, measurable way.
The challenge.
PFH is committed to taking a proactive approach to IT sustainability. They wanted to reduce its carbon footprint and adhere to ESG principles. Additionally, the company wanted to enhance operational efficiency at a time of rising energy costs and growing environmental concerns. The sustainability framework of PFH lays out four key elements which allows it to achieve its vision for leading its transition towards becoming a sustainable organisation. PFH identifies the issues that are most important to its clients, their team members, communities and charities.

The outcomes.
The project led to upgraded systems and processes to meet ISO standards for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Today, 30.5% of annual consumption is covered by PV at PFH and 40,200 kg of CO2 emissions are avoided annually. Additionally, Verde implemented an advanced energy management system to continuously monitor and optimize energy usage. "PFH has benefited from 74,626 kWh clean on-site generated electricity annually, helping it to make significant savings on its bills, and has avoided CO2 emissions of 40,200 kg per year, which is the equivalent to offsetting the emissions of 9 fossil fuel cars annually from the road. The sustainability framework at PFH, a CEO-led initiative, presents the areas that are most important to the company, including recycling and refurbishment, waste management, supply chain, energy, transport, green warehousing, partnerships, community and charity and client sustainable solutions."
