Paxxus
Paxxus is the leading supplier of engineered flexible materials for the global healthcare market and dedicated to supporting the complex regulatory requirements of the medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and life sciences industries across the globe.
Why Verde was hired.
Paxxus is a global leader in engineered flexible materials for healthcare, dedicated to innovation, responsible manufacturing, and sustainable solutions. Their ongoing commitment is evident across their operations. From reducing energy and gas usage per unit (down 11 % and 55 % respectively since 2015), while achieving a 96.4 % global recycling or repurposing rate. When it came to powering their operations with solar energy, Paxxus selected Verde Energy Group because we matched their high standards for environmental responsibility and innovation. Our 72.72 kWh solar PV system not only delivers clean, on-site energy, but also aligns seamlessly with Paxxus’s mission to reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste furthering their leadership in sustainable manufacturing.
The challenge.
While PAXXUS initially aimed to install a much larger solar PV system to maximise their environmental impact, our early analysis showed that this approach would not be financially viable. The proposed system would have generated more electricity than they could realistically use, resulting in limited cost savings and a poor return on investment. Thanks to the expertise of our engineering team, we designed a system that not only generates a significant amount of clean energy but also delivers strong financial performance from the outset.

The outcomes.
With their newly installed 72.72 kWh solar PV system, PAXXUS has significantly strengthened their energy independence, now operating at 17.32% self-sufficiency. The system delivers a rapid payback period of just 2.8 years, after which it will continue to provide long-term clean energy and financial savings. Annually, the installation is expected to reduce their electricity consumption by 63,653 kWh and cut 16,834 kg of CO₂ emissions. This supports both operational efficiency and corporate sustainability goals. For a company already deeply committed to reducing its environmental impact, the decision to go solar with Verde was a clear and strategic next step.

Tanco partnered with Verde Energy Group to support their transition to renewable energy through the installation of a 162 kWp solar PV system. Delivered through Verde’s Deferred Payment Scheme, the project allowed Tanco to access the benefits of solar with no upfront capital investment, while retaining ownership of the asset and reducing long-term energy costs. As a manufacturing business, Tanco has consistent energy demand throughout the day, making solar PV a strong fit for their operations. The system was designed to maximise on-site consumption, reduce reliance on grid electricity, and support the company’s wider sustainability goals.
