With significant energy usage across warehousing and transport facilities, Roche Freight saw the opportunity to reduce both carbon emissions and long-term operating costs. Verde delivered a tailored solar PV solution that aligned with their commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, enabling them to take control of their energy usage while reinforcing their reputation as a forward-thinking industry leader.
The challenge.
Installing a solar PV system at Roche Freight presented several operational challenges that required careful planning. As a busy logistics and freight forwarding facility, it was critical to carry out the installation without disrupting daily operations or fleet movements. Coordinating works around active loading bays and heavy vehicle traffic required close collaboration between the Verde team and Roche Freight's site management.
The outcomes.
Verde Energy Group's solar panel installation now meets 34.5% of Roche Freight's annual energy requirements, ensuring a significant reduction in reliance on external energy sources. The project delivers an annual CO2 reduction of 61,591 kg, aligning perfectly with Roche Freight’s commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint
