Scoil Niocláis partnered with Verde Energy Group to take a proactive step toward sustainability and long-term energy savings through our 5-year Deferred Payment Scheme. This flexible funding model allowed the school to install a 46 kWh solar PV system with no upfront capital, gaining immediate access to clean energy while preserving valuable financial resources for other priorities. The system now generates approximately 41,784 kWh of renewable electricity per year, achieving an impressive 34.23% self-sufficiency in the school’s energy usage. In addition to financial benefits, the project brings meaningful environmental impact, with an annual reduction of 10,655 kg of CO₂ emissions. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to environmental stewardship and supports a more sustainable learning environment for future generations.
